These expensive kitchen appliances will leave you speechless

Those of us who cook and enjoy spending our time around the kitchen know the importance of having functional appliances. The kitchen faucet is the heart of every kitchen and cutting bread with a dull knife is far from enjoyable. Having the top-end appliances and fixtures can make the life around the kitchen much more enjoyable and fun.

With that said, most top-end things come with a top-end price. But how much is too much? Does the top-end price have a limit?

We made a list of a few very expensive and interesting kitchen appliances and fixtures that we were able to find online. The price tag of some of them will leave you speechless.

The most expensive kitchen knife

most expensive kitchen knife

Cutting, slicing and dicing food is far from being enjoyable if you only have a set of dull kitchen knives. An average kitchen knife costs about $50 on average and a whole set with over 10 knives usually costs less than $500. However the most expensive kitchen knife in this world was made by Nesmuk, a Germany-based knife master. Their most expensive knife is made of premium-grade carbon steel and has a handle made from a strong bog oak that’s said to be over 5,000 years old.

The price? $95,992.60.

The most expensive kitchen faucet

When we made our top 10 reviews of what we believe are the best kitchen faucets on the market right now, the most expensive was the Kohler Sensate. It costs about $500 and offers a lot of high-end technology; a touchless switch for water flow and an advanced pull-down sprayer just to name a few. While $500 sounds a lot to most people, this price is dwarfed by the Julia faucet line by Waterworks. One of the most expensive faucets from the Julia line is the Julia Bridge which surprisingly doesn’t even come close to the technology behind Kohler Sensate. It has two handles, a separate sprayer, and that’s pretty much it. The reason why it’s so expensive must be the premium design which is a state of the art.

The price? Over $3,000.

The most expensive microwave

A microwave is one of the most important appliances in the kitchen. If you are a mediocre or terrible cook, your life probably depends on it. An average one costs about $150 and has everything you need to prepare something that looks like a healthy meal. However there’s a microwave called TurboChief I3 that dwarfs every microwave we have ever seen.

The price? Over $10,000.

The most expensive refrigerator

Artificial refrigeration began in the mid-1750s, but the first refrigerator for home use wasn’t invented until 1913. It’s needless to say that it has become one of the greatest innovations in history of the food industry and most of us can’t imagine life without it. With that said, an average refrigerator will set you back about $1000, but it can easily reach the price tags of a few thousand dollars. The most expensive refrigerator we were able to find is the Meneghini La Cambusa. It’s a fully customizable three-door refrigerator that comes with a built-in coffee maker, ice dispenser and even a flat screen TV.

The price? $41,000

The most expensive juicer

An average juicer costs about $50. But what can you buy for the price of almost 200 average juicers? A second hand car is one choice. The second choice is the Hammacher juicer. It’s a heavy-duty juicer that can juice 30 oranges in under a minute.

The price? Almost $10,000.
